How to open file with no extension in Windows?

Sometimes when I download opensource code and look at their files, there are some files that don't have any extension on it since they use *nix system.

I really want to open those file by just double clicking on it, so I edit the Windows registry as follow:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.\shell]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.\shell\open]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.\shell\open\command]
@="Notepad.exe \"%1\""

Instruction: Cut & Paste above code into NoExtension.reg, then merge those into registry.

Now I can just double click on those file that have no extension such as README, BUILD, MAKEFILE, etc
